Projects Prior to the Creation of MeshAround

I'll try to make some of these into tutorials, but since I made them a while back, I don't have the exact steps I took.
Last christmas really kickstarted my creations, when my dad told me I had to make a new set of stockings for my family because ours were falling apart.

So I stopped by Joanns and bought some red and green felt. I bought something like 4 yards of each and it made plenty of stockings. (I think there was 8?) I also picked up some red and green yarn to hot glue on for the names and a few decorating pieces. Overall, I loved how they turned out. Also, if you want a more detailed DIY I can try to get one up here or email it to you. Also, depending on where you live you can buy them.

More recently, I moved into a new room because my older sister went to college. The new room was bigger--its a master, for some reason my house was built with a master bedroom on both sides of the house--but it had less space for organization. check out my last rooms shelves/cabinets:

My new room had nothing like this and I found that my necklaces especially were a crazy mess. I'd stop wearing them really because they got all tangled up and I didn't have time to pull them apart. So I looked around the internet for some necklace holders and they all looked pretty gaudy to me. But I found this tiny blog (I don't even remember the name of it) and it gave me an idea.

So i found an old wooden picture frame  (9x12) and some gold screw-in hooks:

then I took out the back of the frame and screwed in the hooks approximately 3/4" apart. I fit something like 11 accross.

Then I hung my necklaces. I love it :)

I also made this infinity scarf from one of my favorite blogs.
Katy gives you a great easy tutorial for it and even for a beginner sewer (me) it was very easy.
You should check her out. I love her blog--Sweet-Verbena

So yeah :) that's a quick little catch-up on what I've been up to. Feel free to leave comments, I love hearing y'all's thoughts.
